You posted this twice?

Anyway, how does this compare to Elgato? I'm quite curious, as I have a HD60 Pro in my rig that I use for my PS4 and Switch.

Yeah posted it twice by mistake, haha mistake happen.

Well the Elgato needs the use of a PC in order to run it and record your gaming clips and now some capture cards can be inserted into your pc, but say if your someone who doesn't or cant afford a high end pc to run the program/capture card, your at a big lose.
But thats where the Avermedia Game Capture comes into play, it can record your footage through HDMI and record up to 1080p 30fps, perfect for recording your footage to a Hard drive. Then you can edit on your laptop or computer and dont have to worry about forking out of a high end computer to use the capture card like the Elgato.

And I know the Elgato can do 1080p 60fps and some capture cards that can do 4K 60fps, but this is a budget capture card for people who are on a budget, and the avermedia hd game capture 2, does do HD but only up to 1080p 30fps.

In short it the capture card for people who cant afford the expensive ones.
