See the new mechanics of turret shooting, with object pooling, overheating & ammo count. Along with some early progress on the radar system to show incoming threats & a hitbox system to control the health & damage of the player ship.

Welcome back to C.W.I.S, A tactical shooter where you controls the weapons systems of a naval destroyer that was constantly under missile attack. In this devlog I go through the early progress of remaking the jam version of the game but better.

I'm hoping to get a first playable version of the game with the jam gameplay implemented by the end of May. So far progress is good but I will update y'all when I can give a more firm date on that.

I'm aiming to release new devlog videos every two weeks from now onwards. I'm still working out how I want to go about showing the progress & the overall edit, so any feedback is welcomed in the comments.
