Solved Can we control ads while in MCN?

There are certain games that state you can use their content in YouTube, etc as long as certain restrictions are met.

These include restricting certain ads appearing from competitors, gold farming ads, etc.

One game even mentions using Google Adsense to do this, but can this be done while you are in an MCN and not a direct YouTube partner?

Unfortunately we can't really allow our partners to customize the ads shown on their videos, however in a lot of cases these ads are already blocked from content based on keywords or AdWords policy. Could you give me a specific example?

1. The user shall be entitled to use footage of the Game to produce fan videos and to distribute such videos. Such right shall be subject to withdrawal by GameXcite in its sole discretion. No video should reflect negatively on the Game, GameXcite or other users or should be deemed inappropriate for the USK/ESRB age rating of the Game.
2. If such video is published on YouTube and the user intends to take part in YouTube’s revenue sharing program by placing advertisements alongside videos the right shall be subject to the following limitations:
   Prevent advertisements related to the following categories from appearing on the YouTube Channel, including, without limitation, by implementing the following Google® AdSense filters: (i) advertisements related to GameXcite’s competitors, including but not limited to other massive multiplayer online games; (ii) advertisements related to gold-farming, account selling or other activities prohibited by GameXcite’s terms and conditions; and (iii) advertisements that would conflict with the Game’s USK or ESRB or similar rating.
3. GameXcite has the right to monitor all YouTube Channel content, and to require the removal of any advertisements that violate this Agreement.

Ah unfortunately this does come under my previous statement then, we can't allow individual customization unfortunately. Sorry about that.
