Have you ever noticed you get really good game play when you are not recording

Try to record as much as possible but sometimes when just playing casual, I don't record and it happened.

I always run with the game recording! Just in case unless I'm not really in the mood to share or edit anything that I'm doing

Yep. I do practice runs on levels in DKC 2 when I'm not recording and I breeze through em. When I record I mess up and die a lot.
