Low FPS with new GFX Card?

Hello,

Recently i bought a PC, which ran old games such as Hitman blood money and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion around 50 - 60 frames per second but on new ish games like GTA IV and Skyrim i get 15 - 20 frames, i recently got a new graphics card, the GeForce GTX 1050 TI and i'm still getting those frames with the new graphics card, i paid £160 btw

PC Specs -
GFX Card: GeForce GTX 1050 TI
Processor: AMD A4-6320 APU with Radeon(tm) hd graphics 3.80 Ghz
RAM: 8GB

I know the processor is not all that good but surely it wouldn't let me down that much? where it won't make a change in my FPS at all.

GTA 4 was on the lowest settings by the way.

is there enough power going to that card? is your computer detecting the card? Do you have all the drivers you need for the 1050 installed?[DOUBLEPOST=1482196206][/DOUBLEPOST]That blows my mind because my buddy has the same gpu and close to the same cpu and on skyrim he gets like 70 fps and on gta 5 he gets a good 40-50[DOUBLEPOST=1482196238][/DOUBLEPOST]also are you recording or have things running in the background

I've heard other people that have gotten a new graphics card and forgotten to select them in the settings or something. As said above make sure that everything is installed correctly as it might not be using your graphics card.

Make sure you aren't using the APU for graphics instead of your 1050ti, rookie error and easily missed but happens to the best of us, but To be honest, a new CPU would be the best option to get better performance.

Don't really know how to fix this
