Solved Music Copyright

Hi,
Before the music section got updated to introduce fixt, epidemic sound, audio micro ect.. there was a range of artists to choose from with their songs. Just recently I've been striked for copyright and no longer have rights to monetize those videos. Can Freedom fix this problem??

This copy right claim is usually false.

Merlin is one of the people who claims they own the copy right content. But the thing is that they don't actually detect any copy right content but still they send a false claimant.

if you file a dispute and get the claim removed, then you can monetize the video.

It is indeed a false account wich i had many troubles with in the past...
Dispute the claim and it should be released within an hour.

Hey!

If it's a song you pick up from the freedom dashboard, you're fine. You have to file a dispute, because you have the rights to use this song. Epidemic sound is not the problem, but they can help you to fix that =)

i got that too on 2 of my videos buts the same song. i try dispute it and they said no.

But normally it will work,there are many problems with the new youtube system
So its possible that you will get a strike for nothing

Your best bet would be to dispute the claim, stating that the music in the video was available for use by anyone in the Freedom! Network at the time of the creation of the video.

if i were to dispute it again what do i put with the copyright stuff that says its free use?

sad to see that CDLTD is doing this.

I have 2 ways to help you and others.

1. email Sam at: [email protected] explaining that you can monetize because of Freedom . if Sam is not helping then contact Chris at merlin and say once again that freedom gives you the right to monetize that content and that Sam Casucci is not removing it even after you have explained about the freedom: [email protected]


2. If you have used from freedom select "I have a license or permission from the proper rights holder to use this materiel."

Then add your own text or you copy mine below.

"My MCN Freedom haves license to monetize this content without receiving content id claims. Freedom gives that away to partners as me."


I hope you youtubers can get the claims removed. Good luck.
