New Amazon Video

Hey, so with the release of Amazon's new public video streaming/sharing service, I was wondering what your opinions are on it.

Personally I believe that it isn't really for the average 'YouTuber' mainly due to the extreme effort that is needed to upload one video. I feel it is aimed more at the amateur film maker as there is cast lists and subtitles which are a necessary field to upload.

So what's yours?

Yeah it's not for everyone. It is specific for people who wish to charge for their content such as films or a tv series.

Yeah it's a bit complicated and I don't see it competing with YouTube at all

It's more of a professional environment for sure. I'm sure that it will get good use for film makers and producers, but as for the more casual side, YouTube seems the way to go. Then again, you never know what can happen

i wonder if Freedom will get a deal with Amazon at some point.

Amazon keeps trying to compete with everything else. They should just stick to what they're good at and keep it that way
